Among the many goals of the IWPCA web page is to promote the value of membership in IWPCA by showcasing the work and activities performed by the Association.  One aspect of this promotion is to increase the visibility of IWPCA-sponsored training by posting events on a "calendar" page.

As a general rule, the IWPCA "Calendar" page is reserved for training opportunities offered by or sponsored by IWPCA.  However, the Association recognizes that there may be training provided by other agencies on topics outside the core area of expertise of IWPCA, and that making information on this training available to IWPCA members provides additional value to the membership.

The following criteria are to be used when evaluating requests to post training on the IWPCA web site.

• All training, conferences, workshops, etc. offered or sponsored by IWPCA is eligible.

• All training, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc. offered or sponsored by WEF or WERF are eligible.

• For non-IWPCA training:

  • The training must be directly related to the wastewater field in Iowa.

  • The training must not be in direct 'competition' with offerings by IWPCA.

  • The training must be offered or sponsored by a not-for profit agency.

  • IWPCA will post the title of the training program, date, location, and name of sponsoring agency.  If a link is provided to a URL on the sponsoring agency's web site where additional information is available, IWPCA will create a link to the agency's web site.

  • IWPCA will not create a special web page for the training, or post a conference brochure on the IWPCA site, or otherwise consume storage space or bandwidth.

  • Decisions about the inclusion or exclusion of any particular training opportunity will be made by the Webmaster.
